Mindful Odes

Emotions are real
Depression is but an excuse to hide in the shadows
While others progress
Why do I like stagnating
When I could join them in harmony with life

Why do You see the pain on my face
When this warm heart is on fire
Burning like a furnace
Billowing with life
Ready to explore the wonders of life

Oh to awaken with a glow to brighten my day
And to reach out
And grasp life with all my heart
Never to return to my ways of strife
And to realise my innermost expectations
And to live them out

For all to witness this joyous heart of mine
And to be at peace with all mankind
